Derek Jeter talked with our old buddy Chris Russo on Sirius/XM Radio. Here is the exchange:

Russo: “What do you think about home field advantage in the World Series and the All-Star Game? Is it a factor to you at all, or not?”

Jeter: “I don’t like it. I’ve said that before. I get it. I get why they’ve done it. I think it probably should be best record or something like that.”

Russo: “Do you sense any extra intensity by the players themselves based on the idea that home field is on the line?”

Jeter: “You know what? Ever since I’ve been coming to the All-Star Game, teams have wanted to win. Guys want to go out there, they want to represent themselves, they want to represent their organizations, and they want to play hard. So that was never an issue as long as I’ve been here.”
