It looks as if Reggie Jackson could return to the Yankees sooner than Brett Gardner.

1.) Joba Chamberlain threw "really well" in his first minor league rehab inning, Brian Cashman said.

"This was Day 1 of a 30 day rehab program," Cashman said.

Chamberlain hit 97 on the gun in his one inning of no-hit, two-strikeout, one unearned run baseball.

2.) Cashman said he hasn't been told by anyone that Mariano Rivera could return.

"No," Cashman said when asked if there is a chance Rivera pitches again in '12. "I've been told he is done for 2012."
