Boone Logan, David Robertson and Rafael Soriano combined to toss four scoreless innings in the Yankees' 6-2 win over the Mariners on Sunday.
Logan took over for starter Freddy Garcia in the sixth, and held the Mariners hitless over two innings. Robertson did the same in the eighth.
In the ninth inning, Soriano came on in a non-save situation and struck out Chone Figgins to end the ballgame.
Derek Jeter said the Yankees' relievers are one of the chief reasons the team stands 19 games over .500.
"It's been one of the reasons why we are where we are," Jeter said. "Our bullpen's been good .. we have a lot of confidence in all of our guys."
Surprisingly, Soriano did not untuck his shirt immediately after the final out on Sunday. The righty has made a habit of untucking his jersey immediately after finishing games.
Joe Girardi said after the game that the Yankees did not request that Soriano stop his 'untuck' routine.
SUZUKI STREAK CONTINUES: Thanks to a sun-aided double in the seventh, Ichiro Suzuki stretched his hitting streak as a Yankee to 12 games.
Suzuki has at least one hit in each of his first 12 games as a Yankee, which ties the longest hitting streak by any player to begin his Yankees career (Don Slaught), according to Elias Sports Bureau.
Suzuki hit a fly ball that Seattle center fielder Michael Saunders lost in the sun. Saunders attempted to shield his eyes from the sun, but couldn't get a glove on the ball and it fell in for a double.
After the game, Suzuki empathized with Saunders. The left fielder also had a tough time with a ball in the sun on Sunday.
"It wasn't easy out there," he said.
