I popped on The Herd with Colin Cowherd this morning during his "Spanning The Globe" segment to talk about Mark Teixeira. Calf injuries are tough to predict so there is no way of knowing if it will be one week or two or more. The schedule right now is unforgiving because things are about to become really tight or the Yankees could very well open this thing up and sleep easy in September.
After today and tomorrow against the Jays, the Yankees face the Orioles for three this weekend before embarking on a 10-game, three city road trip. First, it is three in Tampa, then four in Baltimore before an off day and then three in Boston.
If Teixeira misses all these games, which there is a good chance he could, then the Yankees are losing their top RBI guy.

Classic A-Rod would get an inordinate amount of blame because of failure at end of games when he was big reason the moment was possible.

Very A-Rodish game by Carmelo: He was great enough to put himself in position to fail in the fourth.
