Joe Girardi said Jayson Nix is healthy enough to be on the 25-man roster. Girardi knows what the roster will be, but refused to reveal it when he met with the media.
"We don't have to turn it in until 10 a.m. [Sunday,]" Girardi said.

After Nix was diagnosed with a hip flexor, the Yankees originally thought Nix wold be out for 10 days to two weeks. Now, he could be ready to go on Sunday. Nix said on Friday, he felt healthy.
If Nix can go, Andruw Jones may not make the postseason roster. The struggling Jones has seemingly been passed by Eduardo Nunez as the Yankees' right-handed DH option. If Nunez were to DH, then the Yankees' wouldn't have a reserve middle infielder without losing their DH. Plus, Nix is more sure-handed than Nunez.
The other questions Giradi will answer with his roster is if he will take Derek Lowe over Cody Eppley.
Here is an updated projected roster:
Position Players
1. Mark Teixeira, 1B
2. Robinson Cano, 2B
3. Alex Rodriguez, 3B

Classic A-Rod would get an inordinate amount of blame because of failure at end of games when he was big reason the moment was possible.

Very A-Rodish game by Carmelo: He was great enough to put himself in position to fail in the fourth.
