Here are the five things you need to know from the clubhouse:
1. As usual, Joe Girardi wouldn't commit to any more lineup changes for Game 4. Alex Rodriguez is 1-for-12 in his career vs. Max Scherzer. Eric Chavez is 2-for-2. Nick Swisher is 2-for-10. Brett Gardner is 0-for-9 with four strikeouts.
2. Phil Hughes (back) said he could've kept pitching and will be fine if the Yankees can somehow come back in this series. Girardi said they will re-evaluate things on Wednesday.
3. One plus for the Yankees was the bullpen. With Hughes out, the 'pen gave up only one unearned run.
4. Robinson Cano finally got a hit after going 0-for-29. He singled in the ninth. He said he tried not to think about previous at-bats.
5. Cano, echoing the words of many in the clubhouse, said, "It is not over yet." What else can they say?

Classic A-Rod would get an inordinate amount of blame because of failure at end of games when he was big reason the moment was possible.

Very A-Rodish game by Carmelo: He was great enough to put himself in position to fail in the fourth.
