Post-Game Live: The Yankees bats finally came alive. Mark Teixiera goes deep, which may get him started. Who knows? Curtis Granderson also goes yard.

Meanwhile, Phil Hughes did a very good job of not being rattled after Jose Reyes took him deep twice. Hughes is going to the All-Star Game after another really good outing. Joba and Mo combined to finish it up.

Santana vs. CC in the rubber game. A Father's Day day game, no less.

3:38: Pena can't do it so now it up to Mo to preserve the two-run lead.

3:36: Looking for some insurance, Posada flies out to shallow right and Granderson strikes out. Up to Ramiro Pena.

3:30: A-Rod walks and Cano's long flyball is lost in the sun by Pagan.

3:24: Joba gives up a double to Pagan, but he gets David Wright with a pitch in the dirt. Double-fist pump for Joba
3:13: Here comes Joba for the eighth. Big spot for him.

3:01: Reyes with a nice play on Russo ground to keep the Mets within 2 as we go to the seventh.

2:55: Leadoff walk for Cano. Jorge Posada fly out ot left.

2:51: Hughes puts two guys on, but is able to wiggle out of it with a 6-4-3 DP of Jason Bay

2:46: Angel Pagan reaches first on a 10-pitch at-bat to start the sixth.

2:34: Hughes strikes out Reyes. A little revenge.

2:33: Phil Hughes hasn't been able to get Reyes out all day. Will he be able to do it here in the fifth with a man on and two out?

2:19: Granderson goes yard. A two-run homer on 2-2 pitch to make it 5-3 in this homer fest.

2:11: Hughes with a 1-2-3 inning. 3-3 as we go to the bottom of the fourth.

2:05: A-Rod strikes out. He does not look good.

2:02: Mark Teixeira goes deep, hitting a bomb to right center for a two-run game-tying home run. Let's Go Yankees chant is very loud. Well, for the new stadium, anyway.

1:42: Jose, Jose, Jose. Jose Reyes is owning Phil Hughes. Hits his second homer of the game in three innings. Reyes 3, Yankees 1.

1:33: Robinson Cano starts off the second with a single to left.

1:29: Chris Carter hits into a DP 6-4-3 to wasted Jason Bay's leadoff single.

1:24: Teixiera is terrible, but the game is tied. He hits into a double-play to score a run. No ribbie.

1:22 Swishwer with a long, hard hit single off the right field wall. A one-hopper off the wall. First and third. Swisher probably couldn't have made it to second, but he didn't run particularly hard out of the box.

1:19: Brett Gardner gets on base to start off the bottom half. A single to left.

1:08: Beautiful day here starts off very ugly for the Yankees. Jose Reyes just smacked a homer around the bases and then he styled around the bases. 1-0 Mets. That was quick.

Game Notes: Derek Jeter was a late scratch due to a brusied right heel. We have a news headline up in the headlines on the main page. ... Joe Girardi is hopeful to start Alex Rodriguez at third on Sunday. A-Rod is the DH on Saturday. ... Alfredo Aceves (back) threw, but it wasn't even off the mound fully. It was what Girardi called a "half-mound." It was progress, but it doesn't sound like he will be back anytime soon. A.J. Burnett(foot) threw his bullpen and said he is fine to start on Monday. ... Girardi said again that Mark Teixeirawill eventually bounce back. Unofficially, it is the 100th time Girardi has said so.
