... David Phelps.

With the MLB Rookies of the Years being named on Monday, we have decided to have our Yankee Rookie of the Year.

Phelps wins the award with the really only other contender, Cody Eppley. But Phelps was clearly the best Yankee rookie. He went 4-4 with a 3.34 ERA. He started 11 games and went 2-2 with a 3.77 ERA.

He has put himself in position to possibly be the No. 5 starter next year. I think there is a pretty good chance he will be competing in a group that includes Ivan Nova for that last spot in the rotation.

QUESTION: Would you feel good about Phelps as the Yankees’ No. 5 starter next year?
