TAMPA, Fla. -- In his second game as a Yankee and first since being shut down briefly with a sore left oblique, Kevin Youkilis heard some muttering from the crowd at least three times Friday: at the pregame introductions, when he booted a grounder at third in the second inning, and when he struck out looking in the third. The first two times, the sound could have been "Yoook!" Or it could have been "Boooo!"

But the third time, there was no mistaking what the Yankees fans were saying, or at least one Yankees fan.
"You always have one fan that yells at you," Youkilis said. "I struck out looking and a guy’s yelling at me. He’s just angry in life. That’s the bottom line. That guy was really angry. There’s always one out of a hundred.”
As for the other 7,000 or so in the ballpark today, Youkilis said, “If it’s Youk, it’s Youk. If people are booing, they’re booing. If you’re a Yankees fan and you want to boo me, that’s your prerogative. But if you don’t want to win a World Series and root for guys on your team, that’s what you’ve got to do I guess. But they all sound like Youk to me."
