TAMPA, Fla. -- And now for some news that's not about Derek Jeter or Mariano Rivera.

1. GOOD NEWS FOR A CHANGE: Phil Hughes, David Robertson and David Aardsma all threw bullpens and came through fine. Hughes (bulging disk) said he felt good after his 10 pitches and will extend himself further on Monday. Robertson, who slept wrong on his shoulder, and Aardsma (groin) both could be ready for game action soon.

“All good news,” Joe Girardi said. “Maybe the worm has turned.”

2. JOSE, JOSE, JOSE: Saturday’s Yankees starter Jose Ramirez has had a pretty good spring. He ran his total of scoreless innings to nine after another four against the Braves. Ramirez, 23, has pitched in high-A ball. He had a 3.19 ERA for Tampa in 2012.

3. ANOTHER LOSS: The Yankees dropped to 3-11 on Saturday after their 2-1 loss.

4. WHAT'S NEXT: On Sunday, they are in Dunedin to face the Blue Jays.

5. CUTS: The Yankees have sent pitchers Tom Kahnle and Kelvin Perez to minor league camp.
