TAMPA, Fla. -- Saturday was a total loss for the Yankees, beginning with a 7-0 shutout loss to the Phillies at home and ending with a 4-0 shutout by the Braves in Lake Buena Vista in the evening.

The Yankees managed just two hits in the nightcap, a single by Eduardo Nunez leading off the game and another by Matt Diaz in the eighth.

Meanwhile, David Phelps, fighting for the No. 5 starter's spot with Ivan Nova, pitched well for four innings but was victimized by a two-out rally, capped by Juan Francisco's three-run homer. Phelps' spring ERA rose from 0.64 before the game to 2.37 after it.

Nova gets his turn against the Pittsburgh Pirates Sunday afternoon in Bradenton.
