TAMPA, Fla. -- Well, not always. Derek Jeter strolled into the Yankees clubhouse about 8:30 this morning and the first thing he said was, "I got nothing for you guys.''

He said he didn't know if he was playing today or not. Then he disappeared into the trainer's room. But according to a report, he is not listed on the lineup card for the Yankees AAA game scheduled for 10:00 this morning, and with Joe Girardi and his coaches holed up in a closed door meeting, there was no information coming out of Yankeeland. Not even a lineup for today's game between the "real'' Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays, scheduled for 1:05 p.m. at The Boss.

And, oh yeah, the sky is heavily overcast and there are severe thunderstorms predicted for this afternoon.

So stay tuned and as soon as we learn something, you'll learn it.
