WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Yankees finished up the major league portion of their spring training schedule with a 4-2 win over the Washington Nationals. They play Army at West Point on Saturday at 2 p.m.

ANDY DANDY: Andy Pettitte looked good and felt good, going six innings and allowing just two runs (one earned) on five hits. He struck out six and walked zero. In the third, he nearly got hit by a shard from Wilson Ramos' bat.

"I thought it was going to hit me upside the head," Pettitte said.

Pettitte ducked and is fine.

NEW YORK YOUKEE: Kevin Youkilis hit another homer. He has a team-best six in the spring. No other Yankee has more than three.

WELLS DONE: Vernon Wells had a single and a double. He has had a nice spring, hitting .333 in 45 at-bats between the Angels and Yankees.

MO READY: Mariano Rivera retired the side in the ninth. He looks ready to go for his final season.
