John Isner continued to make the rounds in New York after his marathon match at Wimbledon.
Isner threw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium Tuesday night prior to the Mariners-Yankees game. He also made an appearance at on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Monday to read a Top-10 list detailing the things he was thinking during the first-round match at Wimbledon, which lasted 11 hours and five minutes and was completed over three days.
Isner beat Nicolas Mahut, 70-68, in the fifth set to seal the win and complete the longest match in tennis history.
He received a warm ovation from the crowd at Yankee Stadium before and after throwing out the first pitch.
