DENVER -- The Colorado Rocky Mountain High is raining fire in the sky above Coors Field again.

We've been in a rain delay since around 2:30 Denver time, the game suspended after four innings with the Yankees up, 2-1. It remains to be seen if CC Sabathia will return to the mound when and if the game resumes. Tough to say because the weather changes here on a minute-by-minute basis.

Check in periodically for further updates.

UPDATE: The tarp has been taken off the field and the skies are brighter over Coors Field, but it's all a mirage.

We were just told by stadium security that another rainstorm is expected shortly and the field will re-covered after a little maintenance.

So that no doubt finishes Sabathia's day after four innings in which he allowed one hit, one run, walked one and struck out two. The Yankees are leading the Rockies, 2-1, and will come to bat in the top of the fifth when and if the game resumes. Likely candidates to succeed Sabathia on the mound are Adam Warren or Vidal Nuno.
