Game 57: Indians (30-26) @ Yankees (31-25)

Here's the lineup Joe Girardi will send out tonight against the Cleveland Indians and their right-handed starter, Justin Masterson:

Brett Gardner CF

Robinson Cano 2B

Mark Teixeira 1B

Travis Hafner DH

Lyle Overbay RF

Ichiro Suzuki LF

David Adams 3B

Reid Brignac SS

Austin Romine C

Andy Pettitte LHP

NOTES: Yes, you read that right, Lyle Overbay is starting in RF for the first time in his 13-year major-league career. Overbay said he played five innings in LF while in spring training with the Boston Red Sox this March, and played some games there in AA in 2001. Otherwise, his experience as an outfielder was mostly in high school and college. Overbay, who took some fungo flys off the bat of thrid base coach Rob Thomson before the game, will use a glove owned by treliever Boone Logan tonight . . . Andy Pettitte will make his first start since April 16, when he left in the fifth inning of a game against the Mariners with a trapezius strain. Joe Girardi said he is hoping for six inninggs or 90 pitches out of Pettitte tonight. To make room for Pettitte on the roster, the Yankees optioned Brennan Boesch, an actual big-league rightfielder, to AAA Scranton . . . Chris Stewart, troubled this weekend by light-headedness the Yankees believe was caused by dehydration, underwent more tests this morning at New York Presbyterian Hospital, which Girardi said "came back clean.'' Austin Romine is starting but Stewart is available to play tonight . . .
