NEW YORK -- Yasiel Puig, the Dodgers' sensational Cuban-born rookie outfielder, had some interesting things to say before today's game on Robinson Cano.

Speaking to ESPNDeportes' Marly Rivera, Puig said, "It was an honor for me to meet him and spend time with him, he is one of my favorite players, I admire the way he bats, his defense, everything. He is also a nice guy in and out of the field. Every time I ask people about him everyone says what a nice guy he is and it was a privilege for me to meet him."

Asked what the best advice he got from Cano was, Puig said, "He said to take care of myself physically, to work and train hard, and especially to be careful with the people that I associate with, because that happened to him."

Hmmmmmm.
