Game 86: Yankees at Mariners

Post-Game Live: Yankees now have their longest winning streak of the season at seven games. They may not have Cliff Lee, but Phil Hughes was excellent, going seven innings and allowing just a run. Mark Teixeira is back, hitting homers from each side of the plate for the 10th time in his career.

12:49: Tex goes deep again. 10th time he has hit homers from both sides of the plate.

12:30: Colin Curtis with a double. Second and third.

12:24: A-Rod nearly misses another foul popup to end the seventh.

12:16: First and second for A-Rod. Boos out, but he could do some damage. He lines out to right.

12:06: Gardner single to start the seventh.

11:58: Jose Lopez with an RBI double, 5-1 Yanks.

11:56: Hughes gives up a leadoff double here in the botom of the sixth.

11:48: Cano just blew this game open with a two-run triple.

11:47: After Teixeira walks to load the bases, A-Rod hits a sac fly. 2-nil.

11:40: Grander walks and then an E-5 on a smash by Jeter off Lopez' glove. Pauley out. Cordero in.

11:34: We're through five and the Yankees are up 1-nil.

11:29: Rob Johnson nails a leadoff double in the fifth. Hughes needs to pitch out of trouble again.

11:18: We go to the fifth, Yankees up 1-nil.

11:04: Lee strikes out Branyan to end the inning.

11:02: Mariners threatening with two men on and Russell Branyan up here in the third.

10:35: Yankees go in order in the second.

10:28: Branyan with a two-out double so Hughes has to pick it up.

10:17: Who needs Cliff Lee? Apparently, the Mariners. Mark Teixeira goes yard. 1-nil, Yanks.

10:12: We are underway as the Cliff Lee-less Yankees take on the Cliff Lee-less Mariners.
