TORONTO -- Joe Girardi had this to say about the announcement that Mets pitching phenom Matt Harvey had suffered a partially torn UCL and might need Tommy John surgery: "It's unfortunate. Obviously the kid has been a great young pitcher in the short time he's been here. It's one of those things you go through as an organization, you go through as a team, and players go through. Injuries are all part of it. Depending on what he does, those guys usually come back and they're OK from it. They're usually really good again. But it's unfortunate for him and the organization."
