NEW YORK -- Derek Jeter had two hits in the Yankees' Labor Day matinee against the White Sox.

His first was an RBI single in the first inning, snapping an 0-for-14 stretch.

Jeter then added another RBI when he drilled a ball off White Sox pitcher Dylan Axelrod's instep that deflected toward third base.

The hit was No. 3,313 for Jeter, moving him into a tie with Eddie Collins for ninth place on the all-time list.

Next up?

Paul Molitor, who had 3,319 hits.
