TAMPA, Fla. -- The start of today's Yankees-Tigers game will be delayed until 1:30 p.m. because of intermittent rain in the area.

A torrential downpour cut short batting practice at about 11 a.m., but stopped about an hour later. The infield was just uncovered and for now, the skies are partly cloudy and no rain is falling.
