Tampa remembers The Boss

A moment of silence in honor of George Steinbrenner, who died here on July 13 at age 80 was observed at Tropicana Field before the first pitch of the tonight's Yankees-Marlins game. The Boss, of course, was a longtime Tampa resident. "That's a great gesture on their part,'' Joe Girardi said of the planned tribute. "He took these games very seriously because this is where he lived.''
