Girardi can live with his ($200 million) team

Despite reports that the the Yankees are about to add power-hitting outfielder/1B Lance Berkman to their roster by Saturday's 4 p.m. non-waiver trade deadline, Joe Girardi said he would be just as happy to play out the rest of the season with the players he already has. "I know (GM Brian Cashman) has had converstaions and I've had conversations with Cash,'' Girardi said. "But I can't tell you what's going to happen.I know the Yankees have always tried to improve their club, but I think we've played very well despite some injuries and I think we can play even better. However we can improve our club, I'm all for it but I've always believed in depending on the people who are in the room now.''
