Game 36: Yanks (19-16) at Brewers (23-14)

MILWAUKEE -- Happy Mother's Day, everyone. Hope yours is going better than the Yankees', which started with the news that CC Sabathia is headed to the 15-day DL with right knee inflammation, which may or may not have contributed to his woes Saturday night, and really, all season.

In Sabathia's place, Alfredo Aceves is likely to get a start or two, but as for a long-term solution, if one is necessary, right now the Yankees don't seem to have one.

In the meantime, here is the Yankees' lineup for today's game facing Brewers righty Matt Garza:

Brett Gardner LF

Derek Jeter SS

Jacoby Ellsbury CF

Mark Teixeira 1B

Kelly Johnson 3B

Yangervis Solarte 2B

Ichiro Suzuki RF

John Ryan Murphy C

David Phelps RHP

Ichiro getting a rare start today ... Shawn Kelley (lower back strain) might be available today. Aceves, naturally, is not ... Good news for the Yankees from the Brewers' side: Aramis Ramirez, who belted a long HR off Sabathia yesterday but left the game with a hamstring injury, is not playing today ... Phelps has never faced the Brewers but has faced their third baseman today, former Yankee Mark Reynolds, who is 0-for-6 vs. Phelps with 5 walks ... Garza is 2-4, 4.03 ERA vs. the Yankees in 12 starts. Jeter (11-for-34, .324) and Jacoby Ellsbury (10-for-32, .313) have good numbers against him.
