Game 68: Yanks (35-32) @ Athletics (41-27)

OAKLAND -- Happy Father's Day, everyone. Mark Teixeira (sore upper back) came in ready to play this morning, so there he is, right in the middle of the Yankees lineup for today's series finale against the A's and RHP Jesse Chavez.

Here's the rest of the Yankees lineup:

Brett Gardner LF
Derek Jeter SS
Jacoby Ellsbury CF
Teixeira 1B
Brian McCann C
Carlos Beltran DH
Ichiro Suzuki RF
Yangervis Solarte 2B
Kelly Johnson 3B

Vidal Nuno LHP

NOTES: Jeter will be honored in a pregame ceremony approximately 10 minutes before before today's 4:05 p.m. first pitch ... Nuno has made one career start against Oakland, on June 4 at Yankee Stadium, and got a no-decision, working 4 2/3 innings and allowing two runs on six hits, one of them a HR by Yoenis Cespedes, in a 7-4 Yankees loss ... The Yankees have never beaten Chavez (2-0, 2.63 in three appearances, one start). Chavez opposed Nuno on June 4 and got the win, despite surrendering a three-run HR to Ellsbury. Chavez also was the winner in the notorious 18-inning, 3-2 Oakland win here a year and two days ago.
