MINNEAPOLIS -- The Yankees will be without Derek Jeter, Brian McCann and Zelous Wheeler as they play the July 4 afternoon game at Target Field. McCann is resting a sore foot, while Jeter was expected to take a day off Thursday but will today.

Though he hit 2-for-4 with a home run in his MLB debut, Wheeler will sit as Kelly Johnson gets the start at third base.

This is the fourth straight year the Yankees are on the road on the 4th of July, and today is perhaps the most egregious of all on the 75th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's famous speech.

Here's the lineup:

Brett Gardner LF
Brian Roberts 2B
Jacoby Ellsbury CF
Mark Teixeira 1B
Carlos Beltran DH
Ichiro Suzuki RF
Francisco Cervelli C
Johnson 3B
Brendan Ryan SS
Chase Whitley, P (3-2, 4.70 ERA)
