4:16: Wise singles just over the glove of leaping Teixeira and Jays ain't dead yet
4:15: Snider bounces out to Cano and we're one out away
4:14: One Mo mismatch as Rivera has mcDonald flailing at a cutter for the first out
4:10: Jeter strikes out to end the eighth and now, it's Mo Time
4:04: Pena drew a leadoff walk but gets gunned trying to steal second
3:52: Wood pitches a 1-2-3 eighth
3:49: Wood fans Overbay with 94 MPH gas
3:46: New Eighth-Inning Guy Kerry Wood coming on to protect the lead
3:44: Marcus Thames, lately the most clutch hitter in the lineup, belts an 0-1 pitch out of the yard with cano aboard and Yanks take a 7-5 lead in the seventh
3:31: Wells smacks it up the middle but Cano, positioned perfectly, starts a 4-3 DP, Tex laying flat on his face taking the wide throw
3:29: First HP ump Ed Hickox punches out Bautista, then throws him out for arguing the call altho replay shows Jose had a point. The pitch was at least six inches outside.
3:26: With his third pitch, Joba plunks Hill in the shoulder and the Jays have two on for Bautista
3:25: after a leadoff single by Wise in the seventh, Girardi pulls Logan, waves in Joba
3:11: Logan pitches a 1-2-3 sixth
3:07: Vazquez' line today -- 4-2/3, 6H, 5R, 2HRs -- may make his return to the rotation a short-lived one
3:05: Carlson makes the Yankees slink off quietly in the fifth; Boone Logan coming to pitch the sixth

Javier Vazquez, after a brief banishment to the bullpen, returns to make his first start in two weeks . . . Jets LB Jason Taylor is here with his two sons and was escorted into the Yankee clubhouse before the game by Alex Rodriguez . . . Blue Jays starter Mark Rzepczynski (say: Zep-Chin-Ski) got shelled by the Yankees on August 24 in Toronto in the same game in which Swisher fouled the ball off his knee. In that game, Mark Teixeira, Thames and Jorge Posada all left the yard in the third inning of the Yanks 11-5 victory.
