3:54: Pie on the way, and no, not Felix, as Swisher belts a 2-0 pitch into the Balt, bullpen for a rarity these days, a walk-off win. Yanks take it, 3-2, avoind the ignominy of a home sweep to the lowly Orioles

3:50: Yanks have the tying run on base as A-Rod smacks the first pitch into left for a single; Eduardo Nunez in to run

3;48: Balt. closer Koji Uehara in to close it out vs. A-Rod, Cano and Swisher

3:47: Joba Ks Bell and for the fourth straight game, we go to the Last Gasp Saloon

3:43: Score it E6 as Jeter's throw bounces and Berkman can;t come up with it. Gotta think Tex would have saved him

3:43: Joba catches Wieters staring at 97 MPH gas

3:41: One pitch, one out as Jones pops to second

3:41: Joba on to pitch the ninth against Jones, Wieters, Izturis

3:38: Yanks down quickly and quietly in the eighth, including Texeira's third strikeout of the game

3:36: Gardner pops to center for the first out of the home eighth

3:33: logan does his job to perfection, slips an inside FB past Pie to end the inning

3:31: Logan Ks Scott, will face Pie next

3;27: D-Rob retires Wigginton completing 1-1/3 hitless, 2K innings. Boone Logan coming on to face LH Luke Scott

3:21: Cervelli gets cerved, bounces the first pitch to third to end the inning

3:19: Thames delivers a single to right, Cano goes to third, Cervelli at bat with two out and a chance to tie the game

3:15: Buck Showalter, the visting micromanager, counters with RHP Jim Johnson

3:14: Berkman looks bad K-ing on a curve and now, Girardi sends up Marcus Thames to hit for Granderson

3:09: with his 100th pitch of the game, Bergesen sneaks a fastball past Swisher for strike 3, and that will be his farewell to this one. LHP Mark Hendrickson coming on to pitch to Berkman

3:07: Cano leads off the home seventh with a single to left; let;s see what Swisher and Berkman can do to bring him home

3:02: d-Rob paints it black with 93 MPH gas to catch Markakis looking and end the seventh

2:54: yanks down in order in the sixth, David Robertson now pitching the top of the seventh

2;48: Jeter leaps high to snare Izturis' liner and end the sixth with two Orioles on base. Baltimore still leads, 2-1.

2:37: Gardner hits it hard -- just hard enough for an inning-ending 4-6-3 DP. Os up 2-1 after five

2:34: Yankees have two runners on in the fifth after Berkman walks and Cervelli gets hit in the left buttock with a pitch. One out, Gardner batting

2:20: Wieters drops a bomb deep in the left-field stands on a 3-0 fastball, Os take a 2-1 lead

2:14: Yanks get a one-out single from A-Rod but no more as Cano strikes out, Swisher grounds out

2:03: Nova allows a leadoff single in the fourth, then pitches out of trouble with a fly out and two strikeouts.

1:49: Yankees get a run when Gardner drives in Granderson, who walked, with a double, but Gardner is thrown out at third trying to stretch. Two out, Jeter up, 1-0 yankees

1:38: Josh Bell's single to center breaks up Nova's no-no with two out in the third

1:31: with two out in the second, Swisher collects the first hit of the game, a single past a diving Wigginton down the first base line.

1:26: six up, six down for Nova as Orioles go quietly in the second

1:19: Brad Bergesen matches Nova's 1-2-3, two K first inning with one of his own

1:14: Nova Ks Markakis and Wigginton with curveballs to end the first

1:09: Brian Roberts jumps on Nova's first pitch and drives it to the track in center where Granderson runs it down for the first out

Here are the lineups for today's game, first pitch at 1:05 p.m. One minor change -- about an hour before game time, Joe Girardi flip-flopped Mark Teixeira and Lance Berkman, giving Tex a DH day and moving Berkman, originally the designated hitter, to first base.
