9:33: Dan Johnson does it again. Hitting a two-run shot off Hughes. Joba in, back-to-back days.
9:20: Granderson goes yard to make it 3-2 Yankees.
9:16: On the replay, it looked as if it hit the nob of the bat, but it was unclear if it also hit his arm too.
9:15: Maddon has been thrown out.
9:14: Qualls comes in and hit Jeter on the left arm. It was either the elbow or the forearm. Maddon going to get thrown out. Very heated argument for Maddon.
9:10: Sheids is done after 6 1/3 innings. After tough first, Shields pitched out of trouble all night. Gave up just one win. Chad Qualls in.
8:39: Now the shutout is over. Dan Johnson goes yard, two-run homer.
8:33: Perfect game over. Hughes goes four and Longoria nails a single to center.
8:17: The Yanks have first and second and no outs and can't score. Posada, Kearns and Curtis fail to come through.
8:03: Hughes dealin', strikes out the side in the third.
7:39: Yankees can't do anything off Shields in the top of the second. Well, Kearns thought he had hit a double, but was thrown out at second.
7:24: Berkman hits inot two, but Yankes up one.
7:23: Cano comes through with an RBI single toleft.
7:22: What do you know? The bases are juiced for Robbie Cano. Not what Big Game James had in mind.
7:13: The Captain leads off with a single. He has looked better at the plate the last few days.
Pre-Game Notes: Nick Swisher (Knee) is feeling better, but he still deosn't know exactly when he will return. Brett Gardner could be back on Friday. He might have started on Wednesday, but the Yankees wanted to take advantage of the off day Thursday to give him an extended rest.
