Cano taken to hospital for X-rays
By Wallace Matthews
The results of Robinson Cano's X-rays won't be known until Saturday.
Robinson Cano was taken to a hospital for X-rays of his left hand, hit by a pitch from Brett Cecil in the sixth inning of the Yankees' 11-4 win over the Blue Jays on Friday night.
Cano remained in the game and even had an RBI single in the eighth inning but was seen leaving the clubhouse immediately after the game with a large ice pack around his hand, accompanied by a team trainer.
He was taken for a fluoroscope at the Rogers Centre, but the results were inconclusive, according to head trainer Steve Donohue.
The Yankees said results of the X-rays would not be known until Saturday morning.
Cano has been the Yankees' hottest hitter on this road trip, and his two hits Friday gave him 10 hits in 20 at-bats over the past five games.
