So you can guess who he's rooting for in the American League Division Series.
"I've been an Orioles fan since I was like eight years old," said Anthony, who grew up in Baltimore. "I actually have a tattoo, too. I've never been a Yankees fan. I'm close with some of the guys on the team. I support them. I have some mixed feelings right now. Here in New York you have to support the Yankees, but I'm an Orioles fan."
Melo -- who, like Derek Jeter, is a Jordan Brand athlete -- said the Yankees are making things real interesting in the series, which is now tied at one game a piece.
"I watched the games, man. It's a tough series," Anthony said. "The Yankees are a tough team. They're deep, the way they're hitting the ball. But the Orioles, man, you've got to tip your hat off to them."
If there's a decisive Game 5 on Friday, when the Knicks don't have a preseason game, expect you-know-who to be there.
"Hopefully there's a game Friday and I'll go," Melo said. "I'll wear an Orioles hat."
