Tigers' Berry: Bronx 'very easy place to play'

By Andrew Marchand

The Yankees were very glad to leave the Bronx. The Tigers, up 2-0 in the ALCS, could have stayed all week.

"This is a very easy place to play now," Tigers outfielder Quintin Berry said, according to Yahoo. "Coming from Oakland, the fans there were so rowdy. It was easier to come here."

The once-vaunted home field advantage is now gone. The Yankees couldn't sell out the building for any of their games. While the Yankees were booed loudly when they were introduced in Baltimore for the ALDS, there was barely any reaction in the half-empty seats for the Tigers' intros at the Stadium.

• One other midday note, Yankees bench coach Tony Pena will interview for the Red Sox's managerial job.
