Granderson appears headed back to N.Y.

By Andrew Marchand

Still, no official word from the Yankees, but it looks as if Curtis Granderson will be activated on Tuesday. Donnie Collins, who covers the Triple-A RailRiders for the Scranton Times-Tribune, tweeted:

Granderson said he told Yankees officials he felt good, added that it looks like he's heading to NY, to be activated "as soon as tomorrow."

If Granderson is back, Joe Girardi will begin trying to fit four players (Granderson, Brett Gardner, Ichiro Suzuki and Vernon Wells) into three spots. Ben Francisco will likely be designated for assignment to make room for Granderson.
