Hiroki Kuroda will start the first game for the Yankees, at 1:05 p.m. Phil Hughes -- the scheduled starter on Tuesday -- will start the nightcap, at 7:05 p.m.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Kuroda preferred to start the opener, and it is his day to pitch.
Fans with paid tickets for Tuesday's game can use them for the rescheduled game on Wednesday afternoon, or exchange them for any regular season game at Yankee Stadium in 2013 or 2014, subject to availability.
This is the Dodgers' first trip to the Bronx since the 1981 World Series, but they will have to wait one more day to play here.
And Dodgers manager Don Mattingly, the former Yankees great, will have to wait one more day to manage his first game here.
