Source: A break for A-Rod, MLB
By Wallace Matthews
NEW YORK -- If you were planning to stand outside the Park Avenue offices of Major League Baseball on Monday, to cheer -- or jeer -- Alex Rodriguez as he enters and leaves the building for the appeal of his 211-game suspension for alleged illegal PED use in connection with baseball's Biogenesis investigation, you can forget about it this week.
Because of other commitments facing arbitrator Fredric Horowitz, the proceedings are on hold until the week of Oct. 14, and likely won't resume until Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to a source involved in the hearing.
