BALTIMORE -- The Yankees will begin the 2014 season in the same city where their 2013 regular season will end -- in Houston, with a three-game series against the Astros beginning on April 1.
According to the tentative schedules released by Major League Baseball today, the Yankees will then travel to Toronto for three games before returning to the Bronx for their home opener against the Orioles on April 7.
Other highlights: The Yankees will host the Mets May 12 and 13, and then will host a reunion with former Yankees A.J. Burnett and Russell Martin when the Pirates come to New York May 16-17-18. They will close the season with a visit to the Red Sox at Fenway Park September 26-27-28.
