Ex-Yankee Carl Pavano is allegedly the target of extortion by a former high school classmate in Connecticut. The Record-Journal of Connecticut writes:
The family of major league pitcher Carl Pavano told police that a former Southington High School classmate was trying to extort money and a luxury SUV from Pavano by threatening to reveal personal information about him, according to a search warrant affidavit filed by police earlier this month.
The classmate makes some wild claims, which are already on the Internet. No matter what you think of Pavano, it is pretty unfair that, if guilty, this former classmate, Christian Bedard, has already spread information that may or may not be true.
Bedard allegedly tried to force Pavano's sister to have Pavano buy a luxury SUV so he wouldn't go public with his claims about Pavano.
