Kevin YoukilisKim Klement/USA TODAY SportsKevin Youkilis missed Monday's game, and may not return anytime soon.
The MRI on Kevin Youkilis' back came back "negative," which according to Joe Girardi means there is no new structural damage to an area of his body that has been troublesome for some time, and the 34-year-old third baseman will be given an epidural injection of a painkiller tonight or tomorrow.

He may also be headed to the disabled list, something the Yankees may be regretting not having done when Youkilis first complained of lower back pain and pulled himself out of a game against the Blue Jays in Toronto after five innings on April 20.
