The anticipated bloodshed started early Friday morning in Florham Park, N.J., where the New York Jets started paring their roster from 75 to 53. They have until 6 p.m. Saturday to complete the task.
Not one of the early cuts was a surprise. To me, the most interesting bubble players are WR David Clowney, RB Danny Woodhead and RB Chauncey Washington. Actually, Woodhead probably moved off the bubble after receiving Rex Ryan's blessing Thursday night. Clowney, I'm told, is a near lock to make the team. Washington, who did some nice things in the preseason, appears to have survived the day. Saturday could be a different story.
