Fernando Martinez, returning from a knee injury suffered late in Triple-A Buffalo's season, was scratched from Sunday's Dominican Winter League game -- but it was not injury-related. Martinez's car had mechanical problems en route to the stadium, colleague Enrique Rojas reports. Martinez had been due to play left field and bat eighth on Sunday for Escogido in his first DWL action of the season.

UPDATE: Rojas says Martinez had a miscommunication with the team about his activation day in addition to the car issue. "I'm fine," Martinez said. "I'll play Tuesday. I'm ready for play since two weeks ago."
