9:57 p.m.: Mets win 4-2, avoid four-game sweep.
9:38 p.m.: Johan Santana left the game with a strained pectoral muscle.
9:06 p.m.: Mets score a run in the seventh and Angel Pagan enters in right field for Chris Carter the following half-inning. It's Pagan's first action this series. He has suffered from right wrist tendinitis.
8:45 p.m.: Johan Santana has been pulled after five innings and 65 pitches. No immediate word on reason.
8:39 p.m.: David Wright delivers his 22nd homer, a solo shot in the sixth inning off reigning NL Pitcher of the Month Tim Hudson as the Mets take a 3-1 lead.
8:04 p.m.: Joaquin Arias not looking sharp at shortstop. He pats his glove after fielding a grounder from Omar Infante at deep short, then bounces a throw to first base. Infield single. It was a second-chance at-bat for Infante. Ike Davis couldn't handle a foul pop-up at the wall down the first-base line. Infante is erased on a double-play grounder by Jason Heyward.
7:50 p.m.: Lucas Duda is 0-for-2 and still hitless in his major league career, but he does make a grab on Alex Gonzalez's shot at the wall for the second out of the bottom of the second. Duda then fumbles Melky Cabrera's single to left field, but Cabrera doesn't try to advance to second and no error results.
7:47 p.m.: Brian McCann leads off the bottom of the second with a homer. Mets 2, Braves 1.
7:33 p.m.: Joaquin Arias botches Martin Prado's two-out grounder in the bottom of the first. E-6.
7:27 p.m.: After Carlos Beltran scores, the Mets loaded the bases with two out on singles by Chris Carter and David Wright and Ike Davis' walk. Tim Hudson then gets Joaquin Arias to send a weak tapper to shortstop, but it becomes a run-scoring infield single as the Mets take a 2-0 lead. It was Arias' first at-bat as a Met after being acquired for Jeff Francoeur. With the bases still loaded, Henry Blanco grounds out on a full-count offering. On to Johan Santana's outing. The Mets had scored one run in four of Santana's past six starts.
7:16 p.m.: Carlos Beltran triples and scores when the relay throw from second baseman Omar Infante to third base ends up in the Mets dugout, eluding Tim Hudson's backup.
7:10 p.m.: Angel Pagan and Jose Reyes remain sidelined as the Mets try to avoid getting swept in a four-game series in Atlanta. Lineups:
