Jorge Posada became the 19th Yankee to get to 1,500 hits. The only other catchers on that list are Yogi Berra, Bill Dickey and Thurman Munson.

"You mention people like that, I'm excited I'm in the company of them," Posada said.

Joe Girardi took Derek Jeter out with the Yankees leading by seven runs after seven because Jeter has a head cold. ... The talk of the clubhouse were the milestones. A-Rod -- who hit his first homer -- passing Mark McGwirefor eighth on the all-time list. A-Rod said he will reflect on such accomplishments after he retires. (Of course, the PED revelations take the shine off them and his comments). Girardi didn't know this was his 200th win. And no one could seem to remember a player having three infield hits, like Brett Gardner did on Saturday. ... A.J. Burnett said he pitched so well -- to Posada, by the way -- because he was confident in his stuff.
