If quarterback Michael Vick is still on the Eagles' roster March 5, he'll receive a $1.5 million bonus. Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reported last week that Philadelphia will likely wait until the 2010 preseason to attempt to trade Vick. The thought is that his value will be higher at that point due to injuries to other quarterbacks around the league.

I think that scenario leaves too much to chance and it would be better to pull off a trade before or during April's draft. Rams beat writer Jim Thomas has said there's a "60 percent chance" that Vick will end up in St. Louis. And Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo has been very complimentary of Vick this offseason. It's hard to imagine the Rams sticking with Marc Bulger in 2010. In fact, it's pretty much impossible to imagine.

The Rams can either take a quarterback No. 1 overall in the draft or trade for one. I'd be curious to hear what Spagnuolo thought of Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell at this point. Campbell's a restricted free agent for the Skins, but I'm sure Mike Shanahan would listen to offers.

Remember that former NFL executive Mike Lombardi said on the NFL Network that the Eagles were planning to keep Vick on the roster for 2010. I'll believe that when I see it.
