Eagles coach Andy Reid didn't have a specific answer when asked why the team had gotten away from the downfield passing game over the past couple months. No surprise there. The good thing for the Eagles is that Donovan McNabb has really improved this season on intermediate routes.

"That's a complex question, because you're dealing with the coverages you see also. We've always been a big-shot team, down the field. Teams play us a little differently than maybe they did a year or so ago. I don't think anything has changed with [QB Donovan's McNabb] game, other than he is doing a nice job in there, which he has done. He has just had more opportunities in the intermediate area there."
