High praise for Te'o-Nesheim

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles third-round pick Daniel Te'o-Nesheim should make an immediate impact this season. He fits the Eagles' mold for a pass-rusher, which is to say he's not the biggest guy around. But general manager Howie Roseman told me Tuesday that he was blown away by something that Washington coach Steve Sarkisian told him about Te'o-Nesheim before the draft.

"He told me that Te'o-Nesheim did for Washington what Troy Polamalu did for USC," said Roseman. "He can rush inside or outside for us."

If you haven't noticed, the Eagles have pretty much cleaned house along the defensive line. Honestly, I thought they had too many role players on the defense. That put too much stress on veterans such as Trent Cole, Brodrick Bunkley and Mike Patterson. Now, players such as Darryl Tapp will complement young players who are ready to play a lot of snaps. The Eagles don't have as many specialists -- and I think that's a good thing.

First-round pick Brandon Graham said that Juqua Parker has taken him under his wing and has been willing to offer a lot of advice. That's a pretty cool thing since Graham's likely to replace Parker at some point in the near future.
