Skins notes: Greats visit, defending Albert

Dozens of Redskins legends from decades past lined the field for the last day of minicamp practice. They mingled, ate barbecue and looked ahead to an afternoon bowling outing with members of the current team.

That may sound like a fairly standard offseason event for most teams, but it hasn't been for Washington. Wednesday's gathering was a major first step to heal a breech between team and alumni that has developed in the 11 years that Dan Snyder has owned the team.

Meanwhile, ESPN.com's Patrick Hruby lays out the case in defense of Albert Haynesworth. Hruby argues the Redskins' financial decision-makers deserve some blame for the ugly impasse between Haynesworth and the team.
