ALBANY, N.Y. -- Since the NFC East Blog is currently embedded with the New York Giants, we'll focus on the other three teams this morning. Giants fans: I have an exclusive with head coach Tom Coughlin and more from the Jerry Reese interview that you'll be reading about over the next couple of days. The Giants' Camp Confidential will be posted on the ESPN.com Big Board sometime Friday.

Cowboys

  • I'm not going to spend a lot of time on HBO's "Hard Knocks" this morning, but you have to admit that the Cowboys are coming off as a pretty arrogant bunch. And I've never seen a group of players play to the cameras more. Last night, head coach Wade Phillips was featured. A week after he was portrayed as someone's crazy uncle, NFL Films basically wrote him a love letter.

It felt like a make-good episode, but then, I occasionally read too much into things. Most disturbing moment by far: Phillips talking about his "striking" daughter Tracy while her seductive belly-dancing scene from "Charlie Wilson's War" flashed across the screen. Second-round pick Martellus Bennett is not winning any fans with his brooding ways on the show. Loved the angle on Jason Garrett's father, Jim, a retired coach and scout. Just a remarkable man.

  • Randy Galloway thinks the Cowboys should consider a change at special teams coach. Gallo, who normally avoids subtle topics such as kick coverage, called around the league to inquire about current ST coach Bruce Read. You'll never believe what he found out
  • Adam "Pacman" Jones is supposed to send a letter to Roger Goodell today asking for reinstatement. He's gone through several drafts, but I'm told he's finally picked a winner. Jerry Jones told the DMN, "The curtain has come up for him, so I think [the letter] is real important in terms of influencing the commissioner's decision."
