Phillips: Gurode, Bryant may practice today

Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said Friday morning that center Andre Gurode (knee) and rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant (ankle) are both feeling better and could practice today.

"It's nothing new," Phillips said of Gurode's knee. "He's had to deal with it throughout his entire career. He said he feels better and said all along he's going to play, but you never know."

The Cowboys need Gurode in practice as they work on silent counts to cope with one of the loudest stadiums in the league. In other news, right tackle Marc Colombo was hit with a $5,000 fine for his unnecessary roughness penalty in the second quarter of Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Tennessee Titans. He was not fined for his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the fourth quarter that was called because he clumsily fell to his rear after chest-bumping Jason Witten following a touchdown.

Coach Wade Phillips vehemently defended his players' rights to wildly celebrate touchdowns earlier this week.
