IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys second-round draft pick Martellus Bennett has become a storyline on HBO's "Hard Knocks" for all the wrong reasons, but he looked solid in two preseason games. Bennett had a 29-yard catch and run on the Cowboys' first series of the second half.
He slipped a tackle from (who else?) former Cowboys cornerback Jacques Reeves and rumbled down the field. It was comical to see head coach Wade Phillips matching him step-for-step down the sideline. Come to think of it, that might be a bad sign for Bennett.
Felix Jones entered the game and promptly fumbled in the red zone. The Cowboys have moved the ball all night, but Phillips won't be happy with two turnovers in the red zone.
