PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles cornerback Ellis Hobbs has been carted off the field after a helmet-to-helmet collision during the opening kickoff of the second half. Giants defensive end Dave Tollefson appeared to lead with his helmet as he delivered a blow to Hobbs that snapped his head and back and saw him fall forward onto his face.
Players from both teams waited on the field for any sign of movement from Hobbs, who was placed on a backboard. He gave a thumbs up sign as he was taken to the locker room. NBC reports that Hobbs has a "neck injury" and has gone to the locker room for x-rays. We'll keep you updated on Hobbs' condition throughout the game.
